The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI)
Rest in Peace Mr Beckett, now you are reunited with Mrs Beckett. Last of the neighbours from our childhood and will be sadly missed. For as long as my family have lived in Hawley Street (25), Mr and Mrs Beckett were there. Such a lovely couple and family always happy to help and always had time for a chat. I remember that on many occasions they would take myself and George out. Lots of times to Buxton by train, and we would spend time helping to feed the Guinea Pigs, and playing dominoes. Happy days Thank you for great memories xx Rest in Peace xxx

Appreciation For Bill Beckett By Dave Beacher
I was saddened to hear of Bill's passing, but it was a real pleasure to know him, even though it is many years ago. Perhaps my abiding memory is when he came to visit us in Hull on the motorbike and sidecar before the M62 was built! It must have ben an epic journey. Such were the personalities of both Bill and Anne that those days and they will never be forgotten. I apologise for not being able to attend the funeral.
