This ongoing fund has been set up in memory of Bill Beckett - (who passed away peacefully on the 31st January 2015 at the age of 91.) Bill would donate to RNLI every Christmas and throughout the year. He believed in supporting their crucial work, especially as it's a volunteer service and Britain is an island surrounded by sea! I am sure the fact that he always wanted to be in the Navy and that he himself as a Sapper during World World II tried to save a boy from drowning in India must have stayed with him his whole life. We all love & adore you Bill, Dad, Grandad, Great Grandad, Uncle, Great Uncle, Friend, Neighbour- you are the best of our family & reunited with your beloved Anne once more. xxx
